How Node Rewards Works?
Understand how Contributor Node rewards are calculated and distributed within the Distrix network.

Block Reward Allocation
The Distrix network allocates block rewards to various ecosystem components:
Contributor Nodes receive rewards from the Staking Pool, which receives 50% of all block rewards.
The Innovator Fund (10%) supports grants, hackathons, and incentives for new projects, dApps, and ecosystem innovation on Distrix.

24-Hour Distribution Cycle
The Contributor Node reward pool distributes rewards to all stakers once every 24 hours. Here's how it works:

Reward Accumulation
50% of all block rewards (0.50 DSTX per block) accumulate in the staking pool over 24 hours

Proportional Calculation
At distribution time, the system calculates each staker's share based on their proportion of total staked DSTX

Rewards need to be claimed through the Distrix Portal to be transferred to your wallet
Proportional & Equal Staking Rewards
Node rewards are split: 10% equally to all active nodes, 90% by stake
The Distrix staking pool is distributed in two parts:
- 10% Equal Share: Every active node (valid license + minimum 50 DSTX staked) gets an equal share of 10% of the daily staking pool.
- 90% Proportional Share: The remaining 90% is distributed based on your stake as a percentage of the total staked by all active nodes.
Equal Share Formula (10%)
Your Equal Reward = (10% × Daily Staking Pool) / Number of Active Nodes
Proportional Share Formula (90%)
Your Proportional Reward = (Your Stake / Total Staked) × (90% × Daily Staking Pool)
Total Daily Reward
Your Total Daily Reward = Your Equal Reward + Your Proportional Reward
Example Calculation
Suppose:
- Network produces 6,646 blocks/day (13s block time)
- Each block: 0.50 DSTX to staking pool → 3,323 DSTX/day
- Active nodes: 100
- Total staked: 50,000 DSTX
- Your stake: 1,000 DSTX
Equal Share
10% of 3,323 = 332.3 DSTX
Each node gets: 332.3 / 100 = 3.323 DSTX
Proportional Share
90% of 3,323 = 2,990.7 DSTX
Your share: (1,000 / 50,000) × 2,990.7 = 59.814 DSTX
Total Daily Reward
3.323 + 59.814 = 63.137 DSTX
All active nodes get the equal share, and the proportional share is based on stake. This ensures everyone gets something, but bigger stakers still earn more.
