Consensus Mechanism
Learn about Distrix's Ethash Proof-of-Work consensus mechanism that powers the blockchain.
Ethash Proof-of-Work
Distrix employs Ethash, a memory‑hard PoW algorithm designed to favor GPU mining. Each block is mined every 6-12 seconds, balancing confirmation speed with security. At mainnet launch, the chain will sustain over 2000 transactions per second (TPS), enabling high‑performance dApps and compute workloads.
Key Consensus Features
Memory-Hard Algorithm
Ethash is designed to be memory-intensive, requiring significant RAM to compute, which helps maintain GPU mining accessibility.
6-12 Second Block Time
Blocks are produced approximately every 6-12 seconds, providing fast transaction confirmations while maintaining security.
2000+ TPS
The network can process over 2000 transactions per second, supporting high-performance applications and workloads.
